PURPOSE OF SERVICE

Electrical power supply from MV/LV cabin, with n. 2 3MVA transformers, N+1 configuration

23kV medium voltage panel and LV general panel with distribution to secondary panels.

N.2 1.75 MVA generator sets, N+1 configuration, with 24,000 liter diesel tank, for 48 hours of operation.

N.3 800 kVA uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), in 2N+1 configuration, with battery cabinets for 2 hours of autonomy.

Flow-through conditioning control to ensure stable temperature and humidity Air dust monitoring system. Smoke detection device (VESDA) Fire prevention system with automatic gas extinguishing (inhibits any fires without affecting the electronic equipment). Security through CCTV systems and anti-intrusion alarms along the entire perimeter of the building.

RedBus Interhouse in Milan was one of the historic Data Centers; it hosted servers of banks, radios, newspapers, and top-level portals in Italy.

In addition to the rigorous deadlines to be respected, a power system has been designed characterized by a very high level of safety and such as to ensure constant functionality, excluding the possibility of problems or factors disabling the activity of the servers and all the equipment necessary for their management.

The high number of servers envisaged on a surface area of approximately 2,000 m2 determines important values of installed electrical power and, consequently, a considerable cooling capacity of the cooling systems, all with redundancy such as to guarantee complete autonomy in the event of possible events unforeseen events and protections from every possible physical and emergency event (anti-intrusion, VESDA, automatic shutdown).

Testing with integrated tests to verify the reliability and continuity of operation, with simulations of the most severe load conditions and all possible emergency events.
