Zàini – Bistrot del Cioccolato

PURPOSE OF SERVICE

Plant design and supervision for the construction of new Zàini chocolate shops/boutiques in Milan.

Highlights

The new Zaini Milano stores had to convey hospitality, a reminiscence of the years at the beginning of the last century, when the family-run company was born, a contamination between past and present.

The design concept was proposed in the boutiques to be recognisable; it was thus developed with the aim of giving the spaces an ancient flavour, through the use of wallpapers, fabrics and furnishings of great value, but at the same time a contemporary flavour. through the use of details and materials, with a technical and aesthetic value, of today.

The systems, therefore, also had to be designed in compliance with these needs; NCA thus had to design in a fine and accurate way, as it normally does in interventions on high fashion, high-tech or design shops, where, normally, the spaces reserved for the systems are very limited and where the need to hide every possible system element, reduce noise sources to a minimum and ensure temperatures of 20°c in summer and 25°c in winter.

The plant engineering issue was therefore complex, because in a small environment, certain temperatures had to coexist to protect the product but environmental conditions of maximum well-being for customers.

The spaces were ultimately architecturally harmonious, elegant, rich in memory, timeless and equipped with delicate environmental comfort and non-invasive systems.

Projects developed in collaboration with the architect Elena Niccolini, who took care of the architectural design and styling.
