| TITLE | Milan Headquarters of a Leading International Investment Bank |
| BUILDING | Via Armorari / Piazza Cordusio – Milan |
| Timeframe of service execution | 2018/2020 |
| ROLE in the service execution | Detailed design of mechanical and electrical systems and plumbing, works supervision, testing, and commissioning |
Scope of the project
Detailed design of electrical and mechanical systems, construction supervision, testing and commissioning, as part of the fit-out works for the office spaces at the Milan headquarters of a major international investment bank.
Highlights
The works covered the ground-floor entrance and four floors of the building, intended for the office activities of the investment bank, the client commissioning the works.
The design and construction management had to take into account compliance with historical, artistic and architectural constraints, as well as the client’s guidelines, which were particularly strict to safeguard the requirements of confidentiality, reliability and security of the systems. In particular, bespoke solutions were devised to adapt the systems to the innovative layouts, designed to optimise the confined spaces of the listed building.
A significant part of the project concerned the MER and SER rooms of the IT infrastructure, providing for power redundancy for critical systems capable of ensuring their operation even in extreme emergency conditions.
Significant modifications to the existing BMS system were then designed and implemented to dedicate it to the Bank’s MEP systems.
The project includes an auditorium, the kitchen, a bar and refreshment areas, and new toilet facilities.
The solutions adopted therefore met all the requirements of the relevant authorities and the Client, as well as the principles of sustainability, environmental comfort and energy efficiency.
